"The Bucks are trying to set up a meeting with unrestricted free agent center Kyrylo Fesenko next week, possibly in Denver, where he has been living.
Fesenko, who played the last four seasons as backup for the Utah Jazz, tore the meniscus in his left knee while playing for the Ukraine in the Eurobasket Tournament in September.
"He's fine now; he's ready to go," said Stu Lash, Fesenko's agent.
Besides the Bucks, Chicago, Miami and Atlanta are among some of the other teams showing interest in Fesenko."
So if we get Fesenko and give him JL3's minutes
he can be our Jeremy Lin!!!!! Replace bad players with good ones! Viva Per!

My guess is they're hedging against the future loss of Omer Asik, who is an RFA after this year.
fundamentallysound - February 17, 2012
The pragmatic explanation could be
that the Bulls are just hedging against any possible injuries to their bigs, like Kurt Thomas last year.
The fantastic explanation could be that the Bulls are pursuing Dwight Howard with full force, and are hedging against losing multiple bigs in the deal.
Yeah, I am going with the pragmatic explanation.

After watching that
I absolutely have to see this guy and Joakim Noah on the same team. This must happen.
bryield - February 17, 2012
seems like a really funny guy after watching that clip
I really hope we sign him, even though his game looks a little garbage-y.
TheHungarianJordan - February 17, 2012
same
bryield saw Noah. I think the Noah/Omer/Fes/Scal would be the most hilarious bigman lineup ever.
which obviously isn’t what the front office is considering. But I can’t help but like the guy.
dantheman3k - February 17, 2012
We really would become the Chicago Jazz.
Brewer, Boozer, Korver, Fes… am I missing more?
dantheman3k - February 17, 2012
+ sloan's jersey is in the rafters too lol
Belize - February 17, 2012
Hopefully another addition to the Chicago Jazz
J Theory - February 17, 2012
They should do it just for the post game interviews. He actually seems to have pretty
decent hands. Adding another big can’t hurt.
BlackStar - February 17, 2012
According to Hollinger (via Brewhoop), it looks like he could be very helpful to someone:
Just another guy that I have to hope doesn’t go to the Heat. Really though, shouldn’t they be like banned from adding anyone that could potentially make them better?
Juiceboxjerry - February 17, 2012
2/10 -- Would not sign.
jpx7 - February 17, 2012
Whoa.
I wanna sign Fesenko because he’s hilarious though.
Prevenge - February 17, 2012
But what's his PER!!!!!
BigforkBullsFan - February 17, 2012 via mobile
Sign him
Seems like he’d be the next best after Rose at finishing strong. Boozer, Noah, Asik can all learn from him on how a big man is supposed to dunk the ball.
tony412 - February 17, 2012
utah jazz guys are misleading finishers
Exhibit A- Carlos Boozer and his 1 inch vertical
Exhibit B- Ronnie Brewer and his blue balling dunk teases
piccolomair - February 17, 2012
we seem to be "interested" in every player
but we always end up with Lucas or Pargo
ALmighty1080 - February 17, 2012
hey we got mike james
ChicagoTsar - February 22, 2012
Might be worth it as an Asik replacement/improvement
At first I was thinking this would be a stupid because Fesenko is like a much worse Asik. But he seems to be more aggressive offensively and goes up and finishes better. I think his issue is that it takes too many jumpers, which he can’t hit, thus dropping his shooting %, PER, and all that. If he can learn to be more selective on offense, he could be pretty productive.
berzerkulous - February 18, 2012
Ugh. Asik is terrible this year.
It’s to the point where every time he comes down with an offensive rebound or somehow ends up with the ball around the basket I just KNOW he’s going to screw it up. Every single time. It really seems like he’s regressed substantially from last season, or maybe now the whole league just knows to wait for him to bring the ball down to his knees and chop at it on the way back up.
Seems like Fesenko couldn’t be much worse, and watching the video I definitely like the guy and think he’s funny, but not worth it if we have to pay him much.
DLRoth - February 18, 2012
not regressed, just the same
he was awful on O last year, but new. Now we know for sure he’s awful.
dantheman3k - February 18, 2012
the logic in this is: "He was Jazz
let’s get him"
JustAnotherFan - February 18, 2012
Fasenko can ball
He’s a brick wall on defense and a total bully in the paint, I’m down he can replace whatever big we lose. Thibs will love him.
MartyMondays - February 19, 2012 via mobile
