I’m sure KC and that bum from ESPN Chicago won’t say shit but that’s fucking idiotic. This game means nothing, none of the players were having hot nights worthy of extended minutes.
it took him so long to get a HC gig. There were concerns about him having mental blocks in terms of rotations and subs. I remember hearing about that when we got him.
this will bite him in the ass hard someday and the uproar from the rest of the media (not the ass kissing beat reporters) will finally get it through his fat film obsessed ass.
The Bulls have been an elite team since he walked into the Berto Center. That’s all he cares about and until something serious happens he’s not changing a thing.
I have a serious dislike for local Bulls beat writers. Joe Cowley may be drama but it’s mostly accurate drama. Brad Biggs may press the issue but at least he presses it. KC Johnson is an unprofessional kiss ass and Fridell is a coward for tweeting a comment he isn’t willing to ask.
it’s to ask questions like that. it sucks that they’re too worried about getting a thibs tonguelashing to do their jobs. and now that cjs injury is officially a dislocation, it makes the decision to leave them in that much more frustrating
that was what I was afraid of. Those teams are always on national tv so blackout is always possible. Don’t only reason I even want league pass broadband is b/c I don’t have cable, so the blackouts on broadband especially suck and don’t make sense to me.
Right, I ordered it because I canceled my cable as well.
But the problem is, between NBA TV, TNT, Comcast Sports Network, ESPN, ESPN 2, and local stations, top teams are blacked out pretty often. I wound up paying the extra $60 to upgrade to the full package, because paying $109 for the 5 teams and not being able to watch any games some nights seemed like a waste, figured I might as well pay the extra so I can at least choose between a few games every night.
I had picked Chicago (on the off chance a road game would be watchable.. I was able to watch GSW), OKC, Clippers, Dallas, and Washington (wanted to see how Wall played this year… what a wasted pick). Washington was the only team I could catch most games of, if they weren’t playing someone popular. :P
The Clippers games I watched so far were really, really boring.
The couple Timberwolves games I had a chance to watch so far were much more entertaining, in terms of watching good basketball.
Something about the Clippers bugged me. Griffin making his angry face after a big dunk is MUCH less entertaining while watching a whole game as opposed to a highlight reel. When the dunk comes while they’re down 20 and he just made two bad / low effort plays, the effect is diminished.
Can someone with a little more knowledge on the subject explain this to me
If Rose was having pain in his elbow after that fall, the concern would be more about ligament damage rather than anything with the actual bone, so wouldn’t an X-ray not be very telling? Wouldn’t you need an MRI?
The way we fell, it didn’t look like there was any kind of bad stretch or bend, so an x-ray may not be out of line here. Not the same as an elbow, but I took a really hard hit to my knee cap once and actually chipped a section of bone off, which caused a lot of pain and swelling. They may have suspected something similar?
***yawn*** Go Bulls!

Brewer with the 3

They need to trade some of their 10,000 wing guys
And get rid of Villanueva
tuluse - January 4, 2012
Piston almost made this game unwatchable.
Man they are an awful group.
chicity773 - January 4, 2012
Thibs is a mainac
If Rose is hurt at all, I’m killing his first born child
Juiceboxjerry - January 4, 2012
oh dear
Dils - January 4, 2012
I believe you.
bleigh82 - January 4, 2012
i think Rose will be just fine, he shot his FT's and kept playing.
looks like just precaution
rsikes - January 4, 2012
there's the JBJ we all know and tolerate
Brigade17 - January 4, 2012
He left the locker room with the trainer according to KC.
So we’ll probably have X-ray results soon enough.
Thibs is still in that rookie coach mentality. He acts like every game is a life or death situation.
Ozzie Montana - January 4, 2012
There was no need for Rose to play the whole second half
And there was definitely no reason for Rose to be on the floor with less than 2 minutes in the game
Juiceboxjerry - January 4, 2012
Nah this is part of the reason
it took him so long to get a HC gig. There were concerns about him having mental blocks in terms of rotations and subs. I remember hearing about that when we got him.
Dils - January 4, 2012
I guarantee you
this will bite him in the ass hard someday and the uproar from the rest of the media (not the ass kissing beat reporters) will finally get it through his fat film obsessed ass.
anorexorcist - January 4, 2012 via Android app
Thibs doesn't give two shits about the media.
The Bulls have been an elite team since he walked into the Berto Center. That’s all he cares about and until something serious happens he’s not changing a thing.
Ozzie Montana - January 4, 2012
something serious
thats what I meant.
says these xrays on rose reveal serious damage. that’s a scenario where I can see thibs in trouble.
anorexorcist - January 4, 2012 via Android app
are you being hypothetical or did you read that?
rsikes - January 4, 2012
Thibs having children any time soon? Don't think so.
Hard to get a lady in mood while game film is on.
louslovechild - January 4, 2012
lol!!
rsikes - January 4, 2012
lol
You’re right, my fault. “If Rose is hurt, I’m blowing up the film room”
Juiceboxjerry - January 4, 2012
You MONSTER
Joninja - January 4, 2012
or just have him watch boozer playing defense on a continual loop
sin - January 4, 2012
Take away Thib's gametapes
Much more effective
wendellrsu - January 4, 2012
dumbass reporters keep skirting the issue
why are our two most important players in w a 15 point lead at the end of a game???
holla8283 - January 4, 2012
I know
I have a serious dislike for local Bulls beat writers. Joe Cowley may be drama but it’s mostly accurate drama. Brad Biggs may press the issue but at least he presses it. KC Johnson is an unprofessional kiss ass and Fridell is a coward for tweeting a comment he isn’t willing to ask.
Dils - January 4, 2012
if theres a reason to be a bulls reporter
it’s to ask questions like that. it sucks that they’re too worried about getting a thibs tonguelashing to do their jobs. and now that cjs injury is officially a dislocation, it makes the decision to leave them in that much more frustrating
holla8283 - January 4, 2012
I watched those guys kiss the underachieving ass
of Scott Skiles for years so nothing shocks me at this point.
Dils - January 4, 2012
Thibs would have to, you know
have relations with a woman first for him to have a first born. That takes away time from watching film.
Stretch5000 - January 4, 2012
whoops
supposed to be a rply to JBJ post
Stretch5000 - January 4, 2012
Boris Diaw and his man boobs shot 12/15 against the Knicks.
Ozzie Montana - January 4, 2012
those are camembert reserves.
TheMoon - January 4, 2012
On a side note
League pass offering 5 team discount packages!
https://account.nba.com/leaguepass/broadband/
RogersPark Kris - January 4, 2012
yeah i was going to do this
Chicago
Miami
OKC
Clippers
and who else?
Basketball Smurf - January 4, 2012
Minnesota
RogersPark Kris - January 4, 2012
Lakers or maybe Mavs?
Joninja - January 4, 2012
I did the 5 team pack this year... haven't been very happy with it.
If you choose 5 popular teams, you get destroyed by blackouts. I’ve had a lot of days where I could not watch any of the 5 teams.
JStymie - January 4, 2012
interesting
that was what I was afraid of. Those teams are always on national tv so blackout is always possible. Don’t only reason I even want league pass broadband is b/c I don’t have cable, so the blackouts on broadband especially suck and don’t make sense to me.
Basketball Smurf - January 4, 2012
JStymie - January 4, 2012
I would go Chicago, Miami, Clippers, one of Portland/Denver and OKC.
Ozzie Montana - January 4, 2012
Denver/Portland is interesting. Both teams have the chance to be sneaky good.
Basketball Smurf - January 4, 2012
Yeah and they're not on national TV every week.
If Randolph didn’t get hurt I would also suggest Memphis.
Ozzie Montana - January 4, 2012
Portland especially looks really good
I’m happy we don’t have to go to their building. That would be a tough tough game
Juiceboxjerry - January 4, 2012
The Clippers games I watched so far were really, really boring.
The couple Timberwolves games I had a chance to watch so far were much more entertaining, in terms of watching good basketball.
Something about the Clippers bugged me. Griffin making his angry face after a big dunk is MUCH less entertaining while watching a whole game as opposed to a highlight reel. When the dunk comes while they’re down 20 and he just made two bad / low effort plays, the effect is diminished.
JStymie - January 4, 2012
rrrrrrrrrrrrrrubio
sin - January 4, 2012
For $50 more..
You get all the games, broadband and mobile. Seems like a better deal to spring for the extra cash.
D-Cas - January 4, 2012
It's more like 70 more
tuluse - January 4, 2012
Do the Knicks count as half a team seeing as they don't play any defense?
(THE BOBCATS lololololol)
Juiceboxjerry - January 4, 2012
Damn
thats pretty solid…wish you could do this with all sports
ThorCo - January 4, 2012
this is almost like the vinny thing in reverse
“d rose in the 4th quarter vinny.”
might need to get silvy on thibs case. love how pissed off he got vinny with that. and it actually worked.
anorexorcist - January 4, 2012 via Android app
So I missed the 2nd half of this game
and I’m too lazy to read through the game thread. What did I miss?
Basketball Smurf - January 4, 2012
not much lol
julz0512 - January 4, 2012
Bulls good. Pistons bad. Rose X-Ray
RogersPark Kris - January 4, 2012
how did Rose hurt his elbow?
Basketball Smurf - January 4, 2012
fell on it. I am sure he is fine
julz0512 - January 4, 2012
agreed, he shot his FT's and then went to the bench, then thibs subbed him back in.
he’s fine.
rsikes - January 4, 2012
Nothing really
This was about as unexciting of a win as I can remember. BG had a pretty hard foul on Noah. Jerkface.
Juiceboxjerry - January 4, 2012
Nothing. The Pistons suck and the Bulls don't.
Ozzie Montana - January 4, 2012
Boozer haters?
“He took too many jump shots.”
wrigleyrocker12 - January 4, 2012
All good.
RogersPark Kris - January 4, 2012
Can someone with a little more knowledge on the subject explain this to me
If Rose was having pain in his elbow after that fall, the concern would be more about ligament damage rather than anything with the actual bone, so wouldn’t an X-ray not be very telling? Wouldn’t you need an MRI?
Juiceboxjerry - January 4, 2012
pretty much
ThorCo - January 4, 2012
basically it means he's fine but they want to give you the negative x-ray results to make you feel all warm and fuzzy inside.
rsikes - January 4, 2012
I'm no doctor...
But I don’t think there can be much ligament damage by just falling on it. Wouldn’t it have to twist in some way?
wrigleyrocker12 - January 4, 2012
it would be a bruise at best
rsikes - January 4, 2012
I dunno...
JStymie - January 4, 2012
This is my thinking too.
sue369 - January 4, 2012
Interesting
Juiceboxjerry - January 4, 2012
He'll likely get an MRI but a negative X-ray result is something to feed to the press right now.
Also my amateur analysis, I wouldn’t worry too much about ligament damage with just a straight fall.
Ozzie Montana - January 4, 2012
Cool, hope that's the case
Juiceboxjerry - January 4, 2012
