Like JJ and Butler in Toronto just sucking it up. Reading comments here would make one believe they could of been some great contributors if given the opportunity.
I was pretty impressed with Big Baby the 2 times that I saw him.
It goes to show just how great Boston’s system was. When the fattest, weirdest looking Celtic leaves town, he is instantly the toughest and most energetic player on his new team.
He wanted to change it for some unknown reasons, and cited that he wanted to represent his neighborhood with the #8 as he used to live on Eighth Avenue in New York.
It's been awhile since I've seen a game a the Palace
it sounds different…and less annoying.
MRubio52 - January 4, 2012
it's pretty empty lol.
panduh - January 4, 2012
agreed
But it seems that even the stadium fx are different, wha happen to the very annoying “DEEEETROIT BAS-KET-BALL!”?
MRubio52 - January 4, 2012
man, the music is super loud
occubull - January 4, 2012
Was in the crapper
Is boozer still fade-away prone?
FAQ - January 4, 2012 via mobile
Just got home. What did I miss?
Wake - January 4, 2012
nothing really; bland game so far.
panduh - January 4, 2012
As long as the Bulls are in control, I don't mind. Better than that ATL start.
Wake - January 4, 2012
yeah pretty much, detroit defense is pretty horrid.
panduh - January 4, 2012
JL3 is taking OVER according to the pistons announcer
paulgp - January 4, 2012
JL3 MVP!
T.Moore - January 4, 2012
Did Booz...did he...
was that a dunk?
MRubio52 - January 4, 2012
lol yes that was one of his signature im gonna swing my legs like crazy for no reason dunk.
panduh - January 4, 2012
can't tell if the bulls are good,
or the pistons are awful.
rocky_mountain_bull - January 4, 2012
Yes.
MRubio52 - January 4, 2012
can't tell if cheering for bulls
or cheering for pistons*
panduh - January 4, 2012
i swear rip's vision is pretty damn good for a shooting guard.
panduh - January 4, 2012
pistons commentator, "The bulls don't look like they played last night, playing with a lot of energy"
he said that after the booz strip and noah fastbreak.
Sorry pistons, those two didn’t show up last night. (except the last play by Jo)
trig - January 4, 2012
nice pass from rip
paulgp - January 4, 2012
Jo is a lot stronger than I give him credit for.
MRubio52 - January 4, 2012
he has enough upper body strength for a center, what i always wonder is why he doesn't work on
is his lower body strength. specially for a center you need that to more than hold your own.
panduh - January 4, 2012
This is revenge
4 all of those years the pistons beat us
UnBannedVikingholic - January 4, 2012 via Android app
We've beaten them 11 times in a row.
chicity773 - January 4, 2012
Im reffering to
pre derrick days
UnBannedVikingholic - January 4, 2012 via Android app
I figured that.
Just didn’t make a lot of sense to me, sorry.
chicity773 - January 4, 2012
why is our frontline so much more dominant tonight
rocky_mountain_bull - January 4, 2012
because detriots frontline is not even is good or athletic as the hawks lol.
panduh - January 4, 2012
It's their competition
Joninja - January 4, 2012
Because Greg Monroe is a terrible defender.
Ozzie Montana - January 4, 2012
Really?
I for some reason thought he was above average.
Rudey - January 4, 2012
rose has no regard for his FG% again.
You Must Be Joakim - January 4, 2012
Meh
let stat watchers talk shit, we know what we have.
+ we can be real Hipster about it!
Rudey - January 4, 2012
rec for that.
panduh - January 4, 2012
He's 3/6 without the full court heaves
whats the problem?
dp8292 - January 4, 2012
Hollinger and friends
DONT KNOW THAT!
Rudey - January 4, 2012
Neil and Stacey, and then Kendall Gill
How can there be so much bad?
jake1823 - January 4, 2012
Hey
Don’t let that smarmy Mark Schanowski off with a pass.
I’m an equal opportunity hater
windycitywarrior - January 4, 2012
Yeah, I don't normally pay attention to him
But he’s horrible
jake1823 - January 4, 2012
Lucas x Wilkins showdown
JustAnotherFan - January 4, 2012
Funny watching fringe Bulls players
Like JJ and Butler in Toronto just sucking it up. Reading comments here would make one believe they could of been some great contributors if given the opportunity.
Rudey - January 4, 2012
Man, Rip is probably like "Thank God I got out of this awful franchise with their awful contracts, bad frontcourt and lack of fans".
THEKILLERWHALE - January 4, 2012
This. I am amazed at how empty the palace is with the Bulls in town.
paulgp - January 4, 2012
I know. Not only are the Bulls division rivals but they're awesome. When will they see a better basketball team?
Neil Funk is currently agreeing with me.
THEKILLERWHALE - January 4, 2012
So you are most likely now wrong
Rudey - January 4, 2012
Fine. There are a lot of people at the game. Detroit is awesome. They are not in the same division as the bulls. The Bulls suck.
THEKILLERWHALE - January 4, 2012
Repost from old thread, but I am loving the offensive spread.
17 point lead, no player over 8 points, 10 Bulls have scored. Everyone is trusting the whole team to take shots.
JStymie - January 4, 2012
It sure looks like Detroit was just what the doctor ordered tonight.
They are so easy to score on. Hope it stays that way.
Sandberg's evil twin - January 4, 2012
Rondo has come down
from scoring like a madman earlier.
Rudey - January 4, 2012
Brewer dislocated his elbow, could be out a couple weeks
According to Kendall Gill I think he just said
cubs72191 - January 4, 2012
Brew?
Thought it’s CJ
T.Moore - January 4, 2012
wtf
Scribbz - January 4, 2012
you do mean watson right
Scribbz - January 4, 2012
Yes, he said CJ.
JStymie - January 4, 2012
YES
cubs72191 - January 4, 2012
CJ...my bad
cubs72191 - January 4, 2012
you just about gave me a fucking heart attack
get the facts straight! lol
Brigade17 - January 4, 2012
He mightve said brewer
but he meant CJ , pretty sure
Rudey - January 4, 2012
Wow, that sucks. Not super stoked about JL3 being our backup for 10 games.
paulgp - January 4, 2012
Meh
could just mean bigger Rose games, glass half full!
Rudey - January 4, 2012
Ryan Anderson is balling this year
perfect compliment to Howard. If only Nelson didn’t regress so badly.
Rudey - January 4, 2012
19ppg/7rpg
44% 3pt
Rudey - January 4, 2012
I was pretty impressed with Big Baby the 2 times that I saw him.
It goes to show just how great Boston’s system was. When the fattest, weirdest looking Celtic leaves town, he is instantly the toughest and most energetic player on his new team.
THEKILLERWHALE - January 4, 2012
I still think I like Brandon Bass better
Rudey - January 4, 2012
What would happen if Julius Peppers kept playing basketball and ends up in the NBA?
T.Moore - January 4, 2012
Greg Monroe
Rudey - January 4, 2012
I dont think so
Pep is near 300 pounds and can keep up with Mike Vick. I think he would be a bigger Blake Griffin…
T.Moore - January 4, 2012
You crazy :)
Rudey - January 4, 2012
Do you see him block field goals? He's fast as hell too for his size
The man is a freak of nature even moreso than lebitch. lol
T.Moore - January 4, 2012
Yea I just dont know if he has the hops of someone like Blake
I like my Monroe comparison :p
Rudey - January 4, 2012
He averaged like 7 ppg in college
Rudey - January 4, 2012
eddy curry
MichaelClutchtree - January 4, 2012
nets have 35 at the half against boston
marshon has 15 of those on his own
sin - January 4, 2012
I'll say it again
A team with a need at SG passed on the best SG in the draft. How the hell did that happen?
Dils - January 4, 2012
Early in this young season
do we feel like we made the right choice for realistic SGs?
Rudey - January 4, 2012
I feel like we made the best move for what was realistically available.
JStymie - January 4, 2012
Yeah I agree. Rip causes so much movement on offense. the other team's defense never looks comfortable.
It is hard to pass inside with him on the wing simply because of his size
Brigade17 - January 4, 2012
out of the FAs i guess
Tmac shouldve been looked at too though
sin - January 4, 2012
We'll have a lottery pick 2 in a couple of years.
Rockchucker - January 4, 2012
BTW
im in the group that feels like we did make the best choice of available realistic targets
Rudey - January 4, 2012
Knicks continue to struggle
Rudey - January 4, 2012
They sure as hell don't look like a number 3 playoff team.
Not in any game they have played. Melo just doesn’t play well with others. I don’t see as how they will suddenly gel by the end of the season.
Sandberg's evil twin - January 4, 2012
Miami taking it to Indy
62 to 39 at the half. Wade not even playing.
jake1823 - January 4, 2012
they are better when LeRingless and Wade aren't playing at the same time
Brigade17 - January 4, 2012
1-3 quarter is all about Bron. Then Wade closes the game in the 4th.
Wake - January 4, 2012
Stacey telling people to contact Funk via carrier pigeon.
Okay, that’s funny.
JStymie - January 4, 2012
My note would be "fuck you"
and then my pigeon would poop on his head
windycitywarrior - January 4, 2012
just turned on the game..
that is one empty place lol
julz0512 - January 4, 2012
welcome to Detroit.
panduh - January 4, 2012
Detroit - The Anus of America
Brigade17 - January 4, 2012
I wonder how long Frank sticks with Stuckey before going to Knight/Gordon as his starters.
Andrew7 - January 4, 2012
I'm a big fan of Rose not bringing
the ball up in half court sets and running through a screen or two.
THis makes it much harder to trap /double Rose when he does get the ball.
RogersPark Kris - January 4, 2012
What was the reception like for Rip from the fans?
cayal - January 4, 2012
What fans?
Dils - January 4, 2012
there arent any there
dp8292 - January 4, 2012
Lots of cheering.
Andrew7 - January 4, 2012
Nets have done a good job collecting an entire team of good 8th men
Chicagoblooz - January 4, 2012
But Dwight wants to go there!
RogersPark Kris - January 4, 2012
He really just wants to play with Marshon Brooks.
ColonelFatheart - January 4, 2012
Sundiata Gaines*
Rudey - January 4, 2012
Will Rose ever become a bigger rebounder
never see him around the basket, seems like he could get some easy points if he was around more.
Yes I understand we have some excellent rebounders.
Rudey - January 4, 2012
Nothings ever good enough for you...
Thibs defense requires that a guard hang back to take on the fast break.
THEKILLERWHALE - January 4, 2012
You are a weird one
mr. killerwhale
Rudey - January 4, 2012
Averaging 8.3 this season...
Does not seem bad at all, considering how much our front court hits the glass.
JStymie - January 4, 2012
Talking rebounds here
Rudey - January 4, 2012
Terrible call
chicity773 - January 4, 2012
what else is new
julz0512 - January 4, 2012
Jerebko behind the back dribble?
Rudey - January 4, 2012
Was Thibs mad at that 3?
T.Moore - January 4, 2012
No, Rose
2 seconds into the shot clock and he throws up a 3
Brigade17 - January 4, 2012
huge lead
why not rest rip and his groin?
trig - January 4, 2012
rose's shot seems like it kind of regressed, his release is slower and he doesn't plant his feet the same way.
and it’s flat more than half the time. oh well, he still gets it done.
panduh - January 4, 2012
or hes just tired?
RED_BULL - January 4, 2012
Could it be because he played 44 minutes of intense, desperate basketball last night?
It’s very possible he’s chucking these threes because he’s fatiqued.
ColonelFatheart - January 4, 2012
It's because of the ATL game.
He sunk a lot of jumpers during that game so it’s probably just dead legs.
Wake - January 4, 2012
WTF is Boozer doing??
Dils - January 4, 2012
Boozer Lazy ass.
RED_BULL - January 4, 2012
I'm sure his DRTG is amazing
Dils - January 4, 2012
I think the Sears Center draws more for lacrosse
Bin Bin - January 4, 2012
GG Taj
only wants to help Rose get assists, why else would he shoot that jumper all the time :p
Rudey - January 4, 2012
Good guy*
Rudey - January 4, 2012
lmao big ben with the turn around banker.
panduh - January 4, 2012
Knight trying to go at Rose
Then throws up a push shot?
RogersPark Kris - January 4, 2012
From 15 feet away
T.Moore - January 4, 2012
Surprised we got that call
windycitywarrior - January 4, 2012
Lebitch NEVER take charges
T.Moore - January 4, 2012
He doesn't always take charges
but when he does he flops like a bitch.
panduh - January 4, 2012
Dat defense
Protocol - January 4, 2012
Rose flop!
T.Moore - January 4, 2012
Rose auditioning for the new Space Jam
Andrew7 - January 4, 2012
Still can't believe BG had to give up his number for Knight.
Wake - January 4, 2012
Cmon we all know BG loves money
got some of that rookie contract money :p
Rudey - January 4, 2012
He didn't have to give it up.
He wanted to change it for some unknown reasons, and cited that he wanted to represent his neighborhood with the #8 as he used to live on Eighth Avenue in New York.
Andrew7 - January 4, 2012
I'm not buying it. I still think he got paid to switch.
Wake - January 4, 2012
His son was born on the 8th.
They mentioned all of his stated reasons when I was watching one of their pre-season games.
chicity773 - January 4, 2012
Time to put together a 10-0 run and get some rest for the starters.
ColonelFatheart - January 4, 2012
Awwww why'd you pass to Taj?
Cups right there!
windycitywarrior - January 4, 2012
Well these last 3 games
really changed my opinion on our early season defense.
Rudey - January 4, 2012
Yeah
Still don’t feel bad BG in bastketball hell
T.Moore - January 4, 2012
Daye hurt?
Rudey - January 4, 2012
Or just playing that bad?
Rudey - January 4, 2012
Lawrence Frank hates Charlie Villanueva and Austin Daye because they're horrible chuckers.
Andrew7 - January 4, 2012
Derrick: 7 assists, 0 turnovers.
ColonelFatheart - January 4, 2012
Nice to see they gave the TO's to the guys who cant catch the ball
Rudey - January 4, 2012
Does Rose play the rest of this game?
Rudey - January 4, 2012
If Detroit gets it under 10 during his normal rest, I'd say yeah.
ColonelFatheart - January 4, 2012
Nvm no thibs subs
Rudey - January 4, 2012
Man, are they ever going to sit Rose and Lu?
THEKILLERWHALE - January 4, 2012
New thread
windycitywarrior - January 4, 2012
Get it to 25 (quickly) and sit Rose and Deng please.
