Would be nice if the fans kept it slightly classier...
Classy?!

There is no classy in game threads!

I meant at the UC, lol.

It’s just me, but I think the chants of ‘bullshit’ and ‘Detroit sucks!’ are lame. There have to be far more creative ways to insult someone/city.

Good overrule by the refs! Thank God!
I still feel pretty good about this ending..
Scalabrine to check int?!? WTF
im dying over here...
COME ON BULLS!!
why the fuck would rose throw the ball to Scal?
I guess that's why Thibs put hin in there, sort of a decoy..
we had our chances this game

cant win em all

LOL. NOW it's over.
Jesus fucking Christ. Can you say...FACEPALM???
was hoping scal hit that for the haters

Bet he make that I’m the playoffs #mambafever

Damn good game, Bulls fans.

Sucks that we don’t get to play again for a while. Damn you guys are good. Not interested in playing you when you have Deng back.

Pacers are dang good this year.

Thank god the Bulls won’t have to take them on in the 1st round again this year lol. Unless one of these teams ends up having a really bad final 46 games, but I’m gonna consider that unlikely.

bottom line....with or without Deng

we aren’t much better than the Pacers.

Pacers are dang good this year.

Thank god the Bulls won’t have to take them on in the 1st round again this year lol. Unless one of these teams ends up having a really bad final 46 games, but I’m gonna consider that unlikely.

Double reply?

Odd. It was meant for the post above.

Who the fuck rec this
fuck this, im not conceding this win to the piece of shit hick pacers

u can thank those shithead refs.

fuck vogel

His smirk gives me indegestion

Still can't believe Rose kicked to Scal in that situation. Utter shock. Has he even hit a jump shot this season?
Scal gave it his best. That's all you can ask for.
no

we can ask for scal to keep his ass on the bench. i mean WTF was he doing out there anyway. and why take a 3 with over 40 seconds left??? you’re looking for a 2.

I'm ok with throwing Scal out there, just not in a game winning situation. Pure retardedness.
I think some of us here need to take a deep breath and...

A. Give the Pacers some credit and
B. Take a deep breath and realize that nothing fell the Bulls way tonight.

nah dude, wont give credit to guys who hack like crazy and the refs dont call those plays
I'm really getting sick of clothelines on Rose still not getting called. What exactly does an MVP have to do to get respect?
Step away from the computer dude...

You know, the Bulls have lost for reasons other than the refs before?

im jus pissed, ill get over it.

but i cant ignore the shitty refs poor officiating.

i fully expected to lose this one

without deng AND taj. oh well, it happens. we’ve been playing shit teams and blowing clubs out (with rose) for quite some time now. better not happen again.

Fully expected? Before the game or when Indiana came back to make it close?

We looked good (not spectacular) in the 1st half. You must be Karnac.

Nope fuck the Pacers

they have joined the Heat, Lakers, Knicks, Celtics and Pistons as hated teams for me. The playoffs made me consider it. This clinched it for me. The fact that there fans were complaining on Indy Cornrows is horseshit

This is a perfect example of one of those games where we lose some interest/concentration.

Sometimes, teams as good as we are now, just sort of expect the lesser opponents to kneel before you and concede the game, but the Pacers never did that, they kept fighting and the Bulls lost the momentum they had (although it did take a while) in 3rd and 4th. It’s a bad loss, but there were still some positives we can take from this. The biggest one for me is Ronnie Brewer stepping it up with 20pts.

the pacers are not a "lesser opponent"

they are right up there in the east. those idiots worry me all the time and without arguably our two most physical dudes in taj and deng they bullied their way into a win.

Deng and Taj are physical? Good defenders, but not physical. Being physical is not the issue.
Well, by 'lesser opponent' it did kind of sound like I called them bad, didn't I? LOL

They aren’t bad, that’s for sure, but the Bulls are still a much better overall team. I guess this was/will be a good wake up call.

Bump in the road - this is a weird year. Heat are the most talented team and they've struggled again.
I need to take a deep breath...and remember we still have the best record in the East. Phew.
This game reminded me a lot of the Vinny 'era' of 2 years ago.

Horrible execution and letting our guard down, whilst having bad luck along the way (refs).

Ok, so a tad confused about why Thibs put Scal in during the last possessions.

Was it to put some size on West? Cuz then he was a waste on that last offensive possession. I’m guessing Thibs had no TOs left, else he would stick KK in there to play offense, right?

Also, WTF playing Butler in the first quarter after he gets a string of DNPs.

Thibs, you need to go watch tape on this game, and make sure you’re looking closely at the coaching decisions. Then you might want to break this game’s tape.

Also, how big is that goddamn Rose 3pt at the end of the first Q now? And the Rip missed Tech FT?

Play like this and we won’t have to worry about beating the Heat (who barely scraped by DET tonight thanks to Brandon Knights Asik like FT shooting in the 4th Q)

they had no timeouts
shit like this happens.
but its good to see the cavs beating the knicks :)
Also, Tyrus Thomas had 9 blocks tonight

NINE!

And the Bobcats still lost by 16

To the Wizards.

Pacers rebounded big tonight... was the difference...
need gibson back

cant have fuckin scal backing up booz

you win some, you lose some.

don’t forget we’re still number one
indiana barely beat us with our MVP still hurt and one started and a very important role player off the bench.
calls didn’t go our ways but that can be said for both teams.
so not everyone get in a tizzy about this loss.

I'm sick of this "our team is hurt" excuse

Season’s 1/3 over and THEY’RE ALL HURT. I’m guessing this is the norm the rest of the way.

playing hurt, I mean
Bulls were badly outworked in the frontcourt, made same poor decisions on the floor, and just plain missed shots

The refs were terrible but most of the fault here lies on the Bulls. The pacers outhustled them.

Derrick did not look like he has a lot of mobility tonight aside from a few good drives.

Well, alright guys, I am outta here.

Interesting game, some good things, a lot of not so good things, but it’s just one game, and it’s a good way to learn for the upcoming games. Not sure either why Scal was put in, and not sure why Derrick wasn’t as aggressive down the stretch, but things like this do happen, and we do still have the best record in the league. My biggest concern is having everybody healthy or healthy enough to where they can make a difference. We don’t have that, yet, so it will take some time, but hopefully not too much time. Peace out brotha’s and good night. Don’t drink it away!!

Win 4, lose 1, I can deal with that.

Getting spoiled though. Those rare loses really hurt.

Why did the one have to be the Pacers.
pretty bad officiating didn't help...
Fucking atrocious officiating!
still should protect home court....

…..Deng would’ve made a difference

hes coming back next tues...

its fine, the bulsl will rebound back from this. They usually need a slap on the face.

I think the officiating evened out and was bad for both teams

However, even if it’s evenly bad, it still affects both teams and makes luck become a much larger part of the game. Don’t want to see that.

I thought it was one-sided.

Touch fouls against us, while Rose/Noah/Booz were hacked all night with no calls

what I saw too....

….If you would’ve said we’d be 16-4 after 20 games before the season started I’d be happy , and still feel that way.

I like to give the benefit of the doubt

Our perceptions are often out of line with reality, and where they are off, it’s reality that is always correct.

nah dude, if you know bball, those were def fouls
idk what game u were watching, but the pacers were hacking whenever rose drove in and whenever they crashed for the boards.
I don't blame Thibs for having Scal on the floor, but I do blame him for not putting in Korver.

Did the Paces series not say anything?

how could he put in Korver?

No timeouts after the rebound. Scal shouldn’t have been in at all. It was like playing 4 on 5 going for the tie.

We had no timeouts? Damn
Scal was in for the D
after thibs sub him out the camera showed booz and he looked kinda pissed

I bet he was thinking, I can understand you subbing me out for Taj, but damn! you subbing me out for scal too, wtf.

Hoping to see more of this next time

too bad that pic is from last year

:(

or maybe this

as long as they dont lose to the bucks on friday or something

im OK w/an occasional egg like this.

no Bogut for Friday

heard he got a bad sprain tonight

and gibson might be back by then
REST ROSE... REST NOAH

This is ridiculous, meanwhile Dwayne Wade is resting up getting ready to kick our asses in the ECF

wtf are you talking bout? Wade injury was alot more serious than Rose and Noah

Noah had a minor sprained ankle and did well today and Rose may have been conservative, but at this point the bulls need him.

I'd say rest Rose too

he just seems off and we’re better off as the 3rd seed or something with Rose healthy than the 1st seed with Rose not healthy

cant do it with the big road trip coming up, but i would just him rest him against the bucks

after that, it gets tough

His shot was off, that happens sometimes. Resting him wouldn't have mattered.

I thought he moved very well over all, especially on defense.

Its not something that's gonna go away overnight you know

He rested for 6 days and it barely improved. If you want to rest Rose till his injury gets better than I guess we’ll see Rose in July.

exactly

rest Rose like a month, it sounds awful but he just doesn’t have the same vertical anymore. If he was healthy he would have taken over that 4th quarter like a star player should.

I think you missed my point
its one game dude, chill
I'm very chill lol

i just don’t like our chances without Rose 100% healthy. I’m thinking big picture here.

Like I said

Sitting Rose for 1 month wouldn’t help that much. The only way for him to get 100% would be to not walk for awhile. To get around 90% he would have to probably wear a boot for a long time.

I'm sure if you sit rose for a clean month

and he stays in his boot he will be noticeably healthier

And out of shape
jw...why did you get a new username?

Good question. Felt it was time for a change. Plus, the naming the year things seems kinda dead.

cool, i m probably thinking to change my username too

considering theo is trading players off left and right, geo might be next.

I agree

He doesn’t look like himself, and that has to be because the toe. He was looking for jumpers, didn’t push the ball at all. It tells you how good he is that he was still able to have a pretty good night, but that was not Derrick Rose

yep

i have a feeling he’s gonna try and be a tough guy and deal with it though..

he needs to take more mid range jumpers and limit the three pt attempts a bit

then hell be fine

Yup

He’ll adjust, but it will take time. Rip needed to help today and simply didn’t.

the foot will adjust thru time but i can tell he lost some balance

hell be fine in 1 week.

Rose didn't seem that off

He shot 9-19 and got flat out murdered on one of his misses. The lane closes up quite a bit when boozer and rip can’t hit a damn thing.

i know he didn't play bad

but he played limited, he played like he didn’t want to hurt himself.

And I think he should to a certain extent

This game was meaningless. Needs to be as close to 100% by playoffs.

yeah that's why he should sit out for a bit
Some things

Rose should not have passed that last one. Might have missed, but prolly would have gotten fouled if not. But, why was scal out there? That was dumb.

But rip was 6-20. Ouch. Bulls could not hit a 15 for jumper ( aside from rose and brewer) and they still should have won. That missed foul when rose got clotheslined was just awful. Feel bad, but not concerned just yet.

Yeah, that was a horrible missed call
nah, rose made the right play
It was just to the wrong guy
some of yall seriously need to chill!

the pacers are not a top/elite team in the east and we didnt need deng or taj to win this game. it would of hurt to have taj though because our rebounding could of been better but the pacers were getting a lot of lucky losse balls.

taj coming back friday

thank the lawd!

*it would'nt have hurt
just a bad night for everyone

except Noah and Brewer

I'm not sure about Noah

Hibbert was beating him like he stole something.

Hibbert was shooting jump hooks

he’s huge there’s really nothing Noah or any other center could do. Noah did however make tons of clutch rebounds and putbacks.

Well Dwight can

But fuck dwight he dont want to come here

It's not gonna get any easier, we got most of the cupcakes out of the way already

Need physical Noah back, and CJ can’t be an 0-fer from the floor anymore

Really forgot about cj

He was atrocious.

noah has never really been physical, he just outworks everybody

he’s been inconsistent in doing so this season.

Lets flush this one down the toilet

And get the next couple (esp. Miami mainly because I have money on that game)

the refs only reversed that Brewer call

because they knew they had no chance of getting out of Chicago alive if they didn’t

I mean Come On, Scal....

Don’t you WANT that starting job????

It's amazing how much that pacer team is like the detroit lions

Both teams get preseason hype of improving, both seem likeable in the beginning (well detroit at 1st did) because they sucked for a while and underdog shit…Both became dirty ass bitch teams and are hated. Both teams have douchebag players with douchebag coaches advocating dirty play and acting like they won a title in the regular season. Both teams get away with it. Difference is Indy dont have that poster boy who is dirty like Detroit does with Suh….Seriously they are damn near alike

Yeah, but we're better, so who cares. Fuck them.
I know

Im just worried, If the refs were this bad against them. How bad will they be against Flopami?

Bulls need to work on their flop-acting
Rip, Asik, and Kyle tried

and failed

we need nocioni

damn he was a good flopper!

need to hire DIVAC!!!

FLOP COACH!

"Difference is Indy dont have that poster boy who is dirty like Detroit does with Suh"

Jeff Foster would like a word with you.

Yeah

But Suh is actually a damn good player, Dumb but good…

I missed most of the game

only watched the last 1:33. Is there a reason we put Scal in there?? I mean, we actually needed a WIN. Did I miss the announcers saying that Scal was the most clutch player in the world or something??

yes, they did say scal is mr. clutch redux.
If he makes that

Indy will be contracted

RIP Milwaukee
KCJHoop K.C Johnson
When @csnbullsinsider asked DRose most disappointing part of loss, DRose took 12 seconds (12 seconds!) to compose himself to answer. #Bulls
i hope he rips the bucks a new asshole

im still pissed bout this loss.

i'm over it

refs were bad
rip was bad
cj was bad
no deng, no taj, so we were subjected to a game winning attempt by scal… shit happens. we’re still the best!

Yeah, I'm over it too

The thing that makes it hurt a bit more is that it was the Pacers, at home. And the fact that the schedule gets very tough now, and a few East teams lost today. We had a chance to separate ourselves a bit.

And if the Bulls sleep on Milwaukee, they’re gonna be in a similar situation Friday. Bucks are playing well right now

on the bright side, taj is coming back...
yeah, i don't see that happening

bulls have proven so far and last season that they bounce back very well (save the ecf).

after the 9 game trip though, the schedule is pretty favorable. bulls deserve it after playing the most games in the league and having a ton of road games already.

but yeah i mean it is def annoying that we lost to the pacers at home, but it’s pretty pathetic they acted like they just won the championship with that.

OT but this is our SG of the future
WojYahooNBA Adrian Wojnarowski
RT @SpearsNBAYahoo: Hornets didnt reach terms with Eric Gordon on a contract extension and he will be a RFA this summer, NBA sources say.
fuck yes, eric gordan for SG?!

killer combo rose and gordon! Would have to be a sign and trade though. Any suggestions?

would be the best court in the NBA for years...imagine
if i were the bulls, i would seriously consider opening up the wallets for this dude

gordon is nasty. Him and rose would wreck havoc on all defenses. Hell, not even the Heats defense at its best can take both of them at the same time.

only if gordon can stay in the game...

not exactly the pinnacle of health over there

i heard he got a bruised knee?

it cant be b.c he has been out for some time already.

yeah he's only played 2 games

and they’re saying he’s going to be out another 3 weeks. something doesn’t seem right.

i smell torn MCL
Well 3-4 weeks is the average time it usually takes to heal a bruised knee anyways

I really question the Hornets training staff though since I’m wondering what gave them the idea that they could bring Gordon back the first time. He obviously re-aggravated it, but how quickly he did leaves me wondering what they hell is going on with the training staff over there. He came back after 1 week when he should have been out 3 from the start.

that's his only problem....

injury filled career so far but he’s young and his potential is worth it

Yeah, that dude can't stay on the court

LOVE how he would fit with the Bulls, but I think i’d have to pass. He makes Luol look like Cal Ripken

lol, come on now, you know dengs injury was a "freek injury"

i wouldnt really put in the category of injury prone (knock on wood).

Unfortunately, I think that team we played today

would have to be the favorite to acquire Gordon. Cheaper assets + Hometown.

Well since it would have to be a S + T, and we're talking about the Hornets...

My suggestion is for Reinsdorf to start being really friendly to David Stern.

Rose Revenge Game is Pending till next Bulls Pacers game.
You guys rightly hate on Scal

But I’ll take that guy shooting a wide open trey in any situation. Perfect play by Rose, nobody makes shots every time but an open Scal is pretty close. Guy is not good at basketball but hating on that play by Rose is wrong.

not hating on scal or anything, but this game proved how much the bulls missed taj

him and asik have crucial value from bench and we need them to be heatlhy (knock on wood)

What??

Lets all admit it: Scalibrine is not a good basketball player. Moreso, he’s a bad player who can’t get burn unless his team gets ravaged by injuries. Rose made a bad decision in passing to a guy like Scal; he’s been talking about his higher basketball IQ but there’s nothing intelligent about passing to Scal for a game winning shot. Stacey says it all the time, KYP, know your personel. Scal should not have been out there, but there’s still no excuse for passing to Scal.

Scalibrine is not a good basketball player

I know there’s hate for the guy, but that’s a huge exaggeration.

Sorry, but you're just wrong.

He’s the last guy off the bench on damn near every team in this league.

Regardless, doesn’t that still qualify him as one of the top 100/150 players in the world?

Scal is not a good basketball player and he should not have been out there

But Gentleman Jim is right; Scalabrine can knock down open jumpers, and I have no problem with Rose passing to him there.

Then we agree to disagree,

because I’m of the opinion that there are some guys who you simply don’t pass to in crunch time. Taj and Noah are guys you don’t give the last shot to, same goes for Scal and Omer. Last shots are reserved for shot-makers, not clowns off the bench.

damn, would have been nice if we had deng :(
he was wide open and Hibbert, who had 4 blocks, was rotating over

Scal should have moved in closer, instead of taking the 3. He is a “stretch” 4, but his range doesn’t extend to 22 ft.

Sure it does.

He hasn’t had the chance to take many 3PAs since coming to Chicago, but he’s definitely shown that level of range in the past.

Then Rose was stupid for taking it all the way in on Hibbert.

If getting into the lane means dishing to Scal, don’t get in the damn lane; take a step-back J.

Zero problem with Rose throwing that pass to Scalabrine

It was the rest of the fourth quarter where he was stunningly timid that pissed me off.

Stuningly timid?

They switched over their best defensive player and brought a more aggressive double team since they knew no other Bull was a threat to score.

Can someone please remind those guys that it was a 5 game series? Please.
McGrawDHBulls Mike McGraw
Indy’s Frank Vogel: "The guys are just thrilled to get the win here. They were crushed that we didn’t beat them last year in the playoffs."
yeah, but you could say that about us and the heat, too.
Actually I do, and people hate me for it
Well, the Bulls got better

by acquiring a veteran upgrade at a spot we were deficient at. So they must have caught up to the other team.

Wait, what?

wow, what a bunch of losers

idc if they won, but if they are excited winning this game, wait till they see us in the playoffs again.

Imo

Vogel will be stuck on that team, They are the ATL hawks midwest, being a good team but will never win one. But hey! They’re happy about a regular season game against a team losing their 2nd best player and Taj and barely beaten them due to us sucking and the refs being horrible to do it…In that case congrats to them…

one more home game against the bucks...lets hope we end with a pos note!

i want the bulls to crush the bucks. Show no mercy and make skiles cry like a little bitch. I want the bulls to be looking for blood!

This is the Second time Pacers celebrated this season.
2nd time?
exhibition game?
Didnt they lose both
ur right, they did

jus checked. the first agme was close but the second one was a blowout.

against the Lakers.

i honestly believe the kick out to scal for the potential game winning three was planned. this was ‘veeckian’ like.

Noah's numbers were better

but his limitations guarding the post were on display tonight. We need to do a better job locking down the paint against Indy.

could have used gibs tonight

very important interior defender.

Indiana's honestly now in the running for "best frontcourt in the league"

What with the Lakers losing Odom and Boozer/Noah stinking it up this year. I’d still put Orlando in the top spot, but Indiana’s not far behind.

But still

Hibbert makes me cringe, His stuff just looks so ugly

they are deep

and they can score. Hibbert is a big body with nice touch. Still, Noah was giving him way too deep of position.

Luol Deng is absolutely a game-changer

It’s not like the Bulls are significantly

Whoops

It’s not like the Bulls are significantly worse in any one area, but Deng has a positive impact on just about every facet of the game, which makes it a lot harder for the Bulls to win. I still think we can be a great team without him, but everybody else needs to step up to cover for his absence.

the defense on granger and the defensive rebounding were the two noticeable areas tonight
Yup

Also spacing. Having three guys out there who aren’t long-range threats (Brewer, Boozer, Noah) made it very hard to get things going offensively. Brewer got his, but he made things a lot more difficult his teammates, which is why he had only a +0, despite having a superb statline. I think Korver should’ve gotten more run.

i agree, i was surprised he didnt get the last shot
i didnt catch the game

but….korver was still slumping, at least in the first half, i heard.

I only caught the second half, but he was 1-2 on 3PAs

Maybe people were referring to his defense?

yeah, he got killed by granger.
still, gotta still go with the guy who has the best shot being the open jumper
bulls lose a close one

heat win a close won…..worlds ending for sure

lmao, the heat almost lost to the pistons

if it were the bulls losing to the pistons, i think i will get sick.

only a game up in the loss column

could be tied after sunday…

wait, who r the heat playing next
Let me check the heat index...

The New York Knickerbockers presented by Pringles.

fuck!

idk who to root for. I hate both of them!

hey if there was a game that amare and melo were gonna decide to play defense

its gonna be this game

a part of me is sort of glad the heat are getting these close games

im so hoping that regardless of the record they continue going into these grindy games and over time situations. Basically a flip flop of what happened last season. THe bulls grinded out wins to the best record in the league, but ended up with tired legs by the playoffs, the heat crushed opponents in their wins, and were fairly fresh, and ended up at full power by the 3rd round against us. Im hoping the heat have some tired legs, although with the way thibs is pushing guys, we might have tired legs regardless

its obvious they miss wade

people r foolish to think they r better without wade

nah, it was more injuries rather than tried legs.

rose sprained ankle, booz big toe hurted the bulls chances in the 3rd round.

I was hoping for some noah/ Asik

I had high hopes w/ boozer in foul trouble. Noah can stop west, Asik can handle hibbert. but oh well.

VDN being VDN

foul with 1.1 seconds left down by 4.

shitty defense by the clips...oh wait, i forgot, its VDN bball!
One thing was clear to me watching Rose tonight.

He isn’t 100%. He drove hard to the basket with the intention of drawing contact only twice tonight. He’s hurt. Now, that really isn’t THAT big of a problem except that his damn toe will never heal. He shot a lot of jumpers (hit a lot of them as well) but he is not the same “scare teams shitless” player unless he is driving to the paint.

As for the Pacers, people are saying to give them credit. I’ll give them credit when they beat us in a game where we aren’t forced to play Brian Scalabrine. We had 8 bench points…these injuries are depleting our bench depth and forcing Thibs to put different players on the court together. It may help in the long run, but teams will not be facing us anywhere near full strength for a while.

Also, another thing...

Boozer should be fucking embarassed. For the last 2 minutes of the game, he got pulled for BRIAN SCALABRINE. Are you kidding me, Boozer? Do I have to drive up to Chicago and light a fire under your ass? It’s pathetic!

I didn’t get to watch the game, but still laugh at going through the game thread and seeing people complaining about the refs like they do after every game (loss).

How did this happen when we were up by TEN at halftime?

Rose's toe caused him to not be able to take over late, also Scalabrine was in late, also the Bulls didnt shoot many threes late, also the Pacers were awesome at jumpers, also Hibbert tended to dunk
There are major, major, big time issues that were exposed tonight

-The Bulls are 3-4 against good teams, and three of those losses were blowouts
-Thibs is a better defensive mind, but I’d say Vogel at least equals him as a coach
-I don’t care how Boozer/Noah/Asik/Butler/Gibson (when he’s playing) do during a game. Unless all five guys are hurt, no way in hell Scal should be in the game at crunch time over any of them. I don’t care if they are a combined 0-47 with 0 rebounds, they all play over Scal in crunch time.
-We should NEVER lose a close game, especially at home, if Derrick Rose is playing. Tonight we did, and that shows how significant that this toe injury is. I’d say this game shows that it’s EXTREMELY unlikely we beat Miami on Sunday or Miami in a 7 game series with Rose’s toe the way it is. He has to be able to take over for us to win this type of game, especially with no Deng or a shell-of-himself Deng. If Rose couldn’t win us this game tonight, there are serious, serious issues going forward.
-It’s disturbing that the Bulls are STILL getting bit in the ass by teams that should not be as good as them, but are also not afraid of them. The Bulls are not good enough (especially with no Deng) to take other teams lightly. Even Miami gets bit doing that sometimes. Last year against the Pacers and Hawks in the playoffs, and this year against Atlanta, Pacers, and Grizzlies the Bulls seemed to think they “should” win, and then lost because these other good young teams arent afraid of them. The Bulls are taking teams lightly, and they have played VERY poorly against good opponents this season.

This is near "sin" worthy
